The State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience stated that the commission that conducted the examination of the UOC included experts “whose qualifications have been proven by scientific degrees, academic titles and numerous works on the issue under study” and their views did not affect the examination of the UOC in any way , reported on the SSUEFC Facebook page.
“The expert group acted impartially and professionally, and the SSUEFC consistently supports the position of freedom of opinion of any person, an expert in particular, if such a position is consistent with the position of the legislation. Also, the SSUEFC, as a state authority entrusted with the functions of ensuring the conduct of a religious examination, guarantees that the results of the examination will not be influenced by the personal views of the members of the expert group,” the statement said.
