In particular, we are talking about the Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior, the construction of which began in 2011. In terms of scale, this church surpasses the ancient Assumption Church. Today the new church is active, 33 bells are installed on it.

It is known that the architectural complex of the Pochaev Lavra until 2052 was transferred to the free use of the UOC. At the same time, by a government decree, the structures of the Pochaev Holy Dormition Lavra were excluded from the Kremenets-Pochaev State Historical and Architectural Reserve. But in 2018, the Ministry of Justice canceled order No. 438 of July 17, 2003.

“The Ternopil Regional Council invited Metropolitan Epiphanius to hold the same historic service in the Pochaev Lavra, as in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. At the next session of the regional council, they will initiate an appeal for the immediate transfer of the complex of buildings of the Pochaev Holy Assumption Lavra to the use of the OCU, ”the report says.
