On December 14, 2022, on the day of memory of the holy righteous Filaret the Merciful, “Patriarch” Filaret Denisenko celebrated his namesake day. This is reported by the official website of the UOC-KP.

On behalf of the “clergy” Filaret was congratulated by the “archbishop” of Pereyaslav and Bila Tserkva Andrei, who stated that the only canonical Church in Ukraine is the UOC-KP.

“The ROC and OCU on Ukrainian soil is a big geopolitics under the guise of the Church, because they share the ideologies of other states. The only way out for the MP and the OCU is to break decisively with their centers and move towards complete independence. And the true and real guarantee of the autocephaly of Ukrainian Orthodoxy and its independence from foreign religious centers can only be the Patriarchate,” said the “hierarch”.

“In Ukraine there is a Patriarchate and there is a Patriarch,” the “archbishop” said and added that the figure of Filaret as the head of the Kyiv Patriarchate “for more than 30 years has been an example for the Primates of these two Kyiv Metropolises, in what way the UOC should develop.”
