Retired SBU Major General Viktor Yagun believes that the issue of the UOC’s activities should be resolved once and for all.  He expressed this opinion on the air of the Espresso TV channel.

“The UOC-MP has nothing to do with spirituality.  They received from Moscow what they needed.  And until we finally tear all these things apart, the war will continue.  Throughout the period of independence, each government was afraid to interfere in the activities of the UOC-MP, because they believed that this was a very painful social problem.  However, this disease can only be cured surgically.  The focus of the Moscow Church should not be in Ukraine,” he added.
