In the Czech Republic, Orthodox and Uniate priests jointly served a memorial service

On October 15, 2022, the priest of the Olomouc-Brno diocese of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, Rafael Moravsky, performed a memorial service together with the Uniate priest Sergei Matskula, the Pravoslavné Česko telegram channel reports.

A joint memorial service took place at the central cemetery of the city of Brno.  Judging by the photographs, several dozen parishioners, among whom were immigrants from Ukraine, took part in the memorial service.

The authors of the telegram channel point out that Priest Rafael violated the 45th rule of the Holy Apostles, and ask if “there will be a reaction from the primate of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia” to this incident.
