On July 15, 2022, Metropolitan Varsonofiy (Stolyar) of Vinnitsa and Bar visited the Church of the Holy Martyr George the Victorious of the city of Vinnitsa, which had been damaged by shelling. This was reported by the press service of the Vinnitsa diocese of the UOC.

The administrator of the diocese performed a prayer service for the healing of the victims and a memorial service for the dead civilians of the city.

Metropolitan Varsonofiy expressed his sincere words of condolences to the families and friends of the victims and called on everyone to raise their fervent prayers for the repose of the innocent victims, expressing also support for the rector of the temple, Archpriest Valery and his entire church family.
