The head of the American Archdiocese of the Church of Constantinople, Archbishop Elpidophoros (Lambriniadis), baptized the children of a homosexual family (children were born from a surrogate mother). These are the first children of a same-sex marriage baptized in the Greek Orthodox faith, writes RIA Novosti.

We are talking about the children of actor Evangelos Busis and fashion designer Peter Dundas, with whom Elpidophoros has been friends for a long time.

At the same time, the baptism was not held in the United States. And in Greece.

“In America, part of the clergy and laity considered Elpidophoros guilty of dragging out the investigation of a high-profile sex scandal in 2010. Then it turned out that two of his friends, Metropolitan Paisios of Tyana and Bishop Vincent of Apamea, from the monastery, which is under the direct control of the Patriarch of Constantinople, staged orgies,” – writes the news agency.
