The Orthodox Times published an analytical article with a commentary in connection with the letter of the Conference of Orthodox Bishops of the United States, which appealed to the head of the American Archdiocese of the Church of Constantinople, Archbishop Elpidophoros (Lambriniadis), with a protest against the consecration of Alexander Beli, who was defrocked in ROCOR.
“The autocephaly of Ukraine was a “childish” confrontation, given the conflict that exists between the Phanar and Moscow. The “war” has now risen to a new level after the church “penetration” of Russians in the USA. Confrontation with ecclesiastical and, of course, political consequences
Patriarch Kirill of Moscow, in accordance with the policy of the Kremlin, they say in Phanar, is trying to create problems on the canonical territory of the Archdiocese of America, namely the Ecumenical Patriarchate. This is the reason for the so-called “violent reaction” to the decision of the Archdiocese of America to appoint Archimandrite Alexander Beli to the position of Vicar of the Slavic Orthodox Vicariate,” the author of the article writes.
“ROCOR left the Assembly because it fully identified itself with the Moscow Patriarchate both on the issue of the Church of Ukraine and on the subsequent Russian invasion of the country,” he said.
Earlier, the Conference of Orthodox Bishops of the United States addressed a letter to the head of the American Archdiocese of the Church of Constantinople, Archbishop Elpidophoros (Lambriniadis), protesting against the consecration of Alexander Beli, who was defrocked in ROCOR.
