The OCU hierarch attended a service at a Catholic parish in Zhytomyr

On December 27, 2021, the ex-Metropolitan of the UOC, now the hierarch of the OCU, Alexander Drabinko, attended a service at a Catholic parish in Zhytomyr. Drabinko reported this on Facebook.

“At the invitation of the rector of the Roman Catholic parish of St. Wenceslas in Zhytomyr, Father Viktor Makovsky, we attended the service on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the priestly ministry of Father Viktor, whom we have known for over 22 years. The service was led by Bishop of Odessa Stanislav Shirokoradiuk. The bishop of the Lutsk diocese Vitaliy Skomorovsky served as a co-minister. An icon of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called was presented as a gift and a blessing,” the hierarch of the OCU wrote.

Earlier, Drabinko stated that all local churches should conduct an ecumenical dialogue with the RCC.
