On December 25, 2021, on the feast day of St. Spyridon of Trimifuntsky, Metropolitan Nikodim of Zhytomyr and Novograd-Volynsk performed the rite of consecration of the temple in honor of the icon of the Mother of God “Quick to Hearken” in the village of Levkov, Zhytomyr region, UOJ reports.

The new temple of the UOC in the village of Levkov was built instead of the Holy Transfiguration Church captured by the raiders of the OCU.

The church community did not disintegrate and remained faithful to the canonical UOC.

Recall that on March 2, 2019, in the village of Levkov, a meeting of the territorial community was held in order to “transfer” the Holy Transfiguration Church of the UOC to the OCU.
