Ex-President Petro Poroshenko came to Phanar to see Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. A hasty departure commented on KlymenkoTime: It’s good when there is a friend who is ready to cover up from being summoned to the State Bureau of Investigations.
Here is what Poroshenko wrote about the meeting: “As always, a warm and sincere meeting with His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
We discussed the prospects for further support for the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, first of all, for its recognition by other Orthodox sister churches. We noted the importance of further strengthening and developing the OCU as a guarantee of the unity of the Ukrainian society. ”
He also wrote separately that the meeting had been agreed in advance, on December 15.
On December 17, RIB employees tried to hand over a summons to summon Petro Poroshenko near the Verkhovna Rada. But he “ignored the representatives of the law enforcement agency and left in an unknown direction.”
“To put it simply, he ran away,” writes KlymenkoTime.
