US lawyer Robert Amsterdam said that the processes to destroy the Ukrainian Orthodox Church were initiated by the US authorities back during the presidency of Donald Trump. He said this in an interview with Oleksandr Shelesta’s YouTube channel.

“Just last week we learned from Robert Destro, Assistant Secretary of State Pompeo under the Trump presidency, that the activities to destroy the UOC, to reduce its influence and role in Ukraine was the policy of the United States”, – Amsterdam said.

According to the lawyer, this was possible because of the position of Patriarch Bartholomew, who “allowed himself to be turned into an instrument of influence of America”.

The lawyer noted that Patriarch Bartholomew, Petro Poroshenko and Mike Pompeo negotiated among themselves and agreed to change the Church life of Ukraine.
