Orthodox Churches, which have not yet agreed with the act of the Mother Church on Ukrainian autocephaly, will do it for the glory of God, Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople said after serving in the Church of St. Stephen Balatas, which belongs to the Orthodox Bulgarian-speaking community, writes the Orthodox times.

“All Orthodox Christians in Constantinople, regardless of national and linguistic origin and identity, are the spiritual children of the Most Holy Archdiocese of Constantinople or adjacent Holy Dioceses,” said the head of the Phanar.

He added: “The ecclesiological world, based on the canonical traditions of the Church, was also the goal of granting autocephaly to long-suffering Ukraine, so that the Church there could develop in peace and harmony and contribute to reconciliation throughout the world.
