More than 120 People’s Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada demand to cancel financing of an LGBT film

On December 2, 2021, more than 120 People’s Deputies of Ukraine signed an appeal “on the inadmissibility of financing the film project” My Young Prince “at the expense of taxpayers, which encroaches on the foundations of public morality, promotes blasphemy and disrespect for religious shrines.” The full text of the deputy’s appeal to Denis Shmygal was published by the people’s deputy Viktor Myalik on his Facebook page, the Information and Education Department of the UOC reports.

The deputies are sure that the film “My Young Prince” violates the requirements of Article 2 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Protection of Public Morality”, as it encroaches on the foundations of public morality, promotes blasphemy and disrespect for religious shrines.
