Patriarch Bartholomew was allowed to hold a service on the territory of the Kyiv Sophia Cathedral. This was reported by Pravblog.
On August 22, a “liturgy” will be held there with the participation of the head of the Phanar and the leader of the “OCU”.
As previously reported, on August 13, the head of the OCU, Epiphany Dumenko, invited to Kyiv the Alexandrian Patriarch Theodore, the only Primate of the Church who agreed to come to Imbros to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the deacon’s ordination of Patriarch Bartholomew. The heads of the Churches of Greece and Cyprus also sent their hierarchs to the celebration and will not come to Ukraine.
Also, as reported by the resources of the OCU, on this day, the Romanian Patriarch Daniel conveyed his congratulations to Patriarch Bartholomew.
