On August 5, 2021, on the day of the feast in honor of the Pochaev Icon of the Mother of God, His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Onufriy led the festive services in the Dormition Pochaev Lavra, according to the Information and Educational Department of the UOC.

Divine Liturgy took place in the Transfiguration Cathedral of the monastery.

Thousands of believers from all over Ukraine and abroad took part in the celebrations in honor of the Pochaev Icon of the Theotokos. Many of them came to the Pochaev Lavra on foot in various religious processions.

After completing the Liturgy, the clergy and believers, led by His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy, went on a procession to the Assumption Cathedral of the monastery, where they performed a prayer service before the miraculous icon of the Mother of God. After the dismissal, many years were proclaimed to the Primate, Viceroy of the Lavra, all bishops, clergy, believers, the Ukrainian state, people, authorities, troops and all Orthodox Christians.

Finally, His Beatitude Vladyka congratulated the flock on the holiday in honor of the Pochaev Icon of the Mother of God. The Primate thanked Metropolitan Vladimir of Pochaev and the brethren of the Lavra for their labors for the prosperity of the monastery, and wished all believers that the Lord, with the prayers of the Theotokos, bless them and give them what is necessary for earthly life and eternal salvation.
