On May 26, 2021, Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon (Church of Constantinople) visited the head of the OCU Epiphany Dumenko at his residence. According to the OCU website, the Phanar hierarch conveyed personal warm congratulations and a gift from Patriarch Bartholomew.

Unfortunately, I could not take part in the Divine Liturgy, because at that time the President of Poland was received at the Patriarchate, but His Grace Bishop Michael of Coman, the Exarch, in collaboration with you, showed our love in Christ and respect for Your Beatitude! Many years, Most Blessed Lord! I sincerely congratulate you on the completion of work in your official residence – I am pleasantly amazed by the beauty, but at the same time also by the restraint and thoughtfulness of this place,” the hierarch noted.

Metropolitan Emmanuel announced the preparations for the visit of Patriarch Bartholomew to Ukraine in August of this year. “His Holiness blessed me to come to Kyiv so that we, together with the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and the relevant representatives of the Ukrainian state, discuss preparations for the visit, which will take place at the invitation of the high-ranking President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. The Patriarch is looking forward to this visit.”
