How one OCU “hierarch” and one Ukrainian journalist tried to persuade Zelensky to support the OCU

In the correspondence of the “hierarch” of the OCU Alexander Drabinko in Telegram, published by his counerparts fron his Church, there is an episode when he communicates with someone called Ivan Vorobyov. The topic discussed is what can be expected from the new president Vladimir Zelensky. Judging by the date, the dialogue took place in early July, a couple of months after the presidential elections in Ukraine and before the start of the parliamentary elections, writes “Pravblog”.

It should be noted that Ivan Vorobyov is most likely a “1 + 1″ TV channel journalist (the photo is very similar, and the text mentions the “plot” that motivated Drabinko to communicate with him), which makes it easier to understand the conversation.

When asked by Drabinko, who defends the interests of the OCU, “what can be expected from him (Zelensky), Vorobyov describes the psychological portrait of the president:

“Only Vova knows this. It is not easy. Highly. And it’s not a fact that in three years we won’t cry from him. He’s very bossy. Napoleon. And does not tolerate criticism. But there are also enough positive qualities. Nobody knows anything except the closest ones. And then, I think they also do not know everything. The team is unknown. But they are afraid, I think not worth it. Everything will be OK. Worse than it will not be now. And Benya, if anything, will hedge”.

When asked about Zelensky’s church policy and whether he (Zelensky) understands “the significance of this factor for the state,” Vorobyov replies:

“I think no. I think he is interested in this last. He is not Gunpowder, he will not meddle in these matters. Therefore, here you need to go out and talk to him. I will try to arrange it through the head of the party (probably, I mean Alexander Kornienko), I communicate well with him. Of course, after the elections already. I will just see him at the elections, maybe I will be able to talk.”

That is, it was about influencing Zelensky or his party on the church issue and persuading him to support the OCU. And a journalist from 1 + 1 TV channel took part in this.
