Fanariots are trying to force the Georgian Patriarchate to consider the recognition of Ukrainian schismatics on February 11, writes the Telegram channel “Labarum. Sim pobedishi”.
The so-called Georgian “group of theologians”, which constantly makes various statements against the Georgian Orthodox Church, is in fact a profanar lobby in the church environment of Georgia. It was on the eve of the meeting of the Synod of the Georgian Church that they made their next statement. This time they accuse the Russian Church of organizing an “attempt to overthrow” Patriarch-Catholicos Ilia II. Moreover, they deliberately discredit the locum tenens of the Patriarchal throne, Metropolitan Shio (Mujiri).
And just recently, a “group of theologians” accused Patriarch Elijah of violating the canons, having connections with criminals and of all sorts of other sins, and wished his resignation altogether. They were especially outraged by the non-participation of the Georgian Church in the Cretan Cathedral and the refusal to recognize the Ukrainian schismatics of the “OCU”, legalized by Phanar.
This time the group was joined by the defrocked former archpriest Vasily Kobakhidze, who acts as an “independent expert.” Let us remind you that Kabakhidze declared back in 2006 that the allegedly Georgian Patriarchate was about to recognize the “Kiev Patriarchate”.
It is quite probable that behind the actions of the “group of theologians” is the figure of Metropolitan Peter (Tsaav), who is forbidden in ministry, known for his confrontation with the Patriarch and the majority of the episcopate. Metropolitan Peter is also known for his orientation to the Ecumenical Patriarchate and support for the Ukrainian schism.
On February 11, attempts are possible to bring to the Synod of the Georgian Church the question of recognizing the Ukrainian schism and the removal of Metropolitan Shio. The success of this intrigue of Phanarophiles is doubtful, but one can be sure that this is not the last attack of Phanar and its satellites on the hierarchy of the GOC.
