The first stage of parish voting among the communities of the Western European Archdiocese of the parishes of the Russian tradition operating in Great Britain has been completed. It was attended by seven parishes out of twelve, according to orthodoxie.com with reference to the Greek website Romfea.

According to the information provided, seven parishes took part in this first stage, which overwhelmingly voted to join the Thyatira Archbishopric of the Patriarchate of Constantinople in Great Britain.

According to the same information, Archbishop Nikita (Lulias), who heads this diocese, immediately learned of this decision. In all likelihood, he will meet with these parishes in early November.

Five more wards must vote in their scheduled meetings between October 20 and November 10, 2019.
