Hierarch of the UOC met with the Primate of the Polish Orthodox Church

On March 13, 2024, the hierarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Archbishop Viktor (Kotsaba) of Khmelnitsky and Starokonstantinovsky, held an official meeting with the Primate of the Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Savva of Warsaw and All Poland. About it reports the Telegram-channel of the Khmelnitsky diocese of the UOC.

“At the meeting discussed the issues of spiritual feeding of Ukrainians who found themselves in the canonical territory of the Polish Orthodox Church as a result of Russian military aggression, as well as other issues of ecclesiastical and public life. The Primate of the Polish Orthodox Church conveyed greetings to the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church with wishes for a speedy end to the war, peace and prosperity to the Orthodox Church, Ukraine and its people”, – was reported in the message.

Recall, earlier we reported that on March 5, 2024, under the leadership of His Beatitude Metropolitan Savva of Warsaw and All Poland, a solemn meeting of the full Council of Bishops of the Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church was held on the 100th anniversary of the autocephaly of the PAOC.

  • “Можно привести много и других высказываний как отдельных иерархов, так и Синодов Поместных Церквей (например, Польской, Сербской, Македонской), которые четко говорят, что никаких канонических хиротоний у представителей ПЦУ нет. Да и откуда им взяться, если эта структура изначально строилась человеком, отлученным от Церкви?”
