In Volyn region supporters of the OCU once again try to seize the UOC church

On March 12, 2024, supporters of the OCU cut the locks and tried to enter the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the town of Kamen-Kashirskyi in Volyn region. The believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church managed to repel the attack on the church, but the situation remains tense. The UOJ reports that.

“Kamen-Kashirsky in the Volyn region. In the morning supporters of the OCU cut the locks on the gate of the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary and made an attempt to seize. About 200 parishioners of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church defended their shrine and did not let the raiders in. The police, who arrived at the church, did not interfere, but after a while law enforcers began to stop the supporters of the OCU, who intended to put up a fight”, – stated in the message.

It should be noted that this is not the first attempt to seize the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kamne-Kashirsky Volyn region after the illegal re-registration of the local parish of the UOC in the OCU. Earlier we reported that on January 23, 2024 a similar attempt to seize the church was attempted accompanied by military personnel.
