There was an attempt to seize a UOC church in Poltava region

On February 10, 2024 in Poltava region in the village of Zagrebelie in Luben district supporters of the OCU made an attempt to seize the church of the UOC. This is reported by the press service of the Kremenchug diocese.

It is noted that a small number of supporters of the OCU led by Mykola Vasilyevich Potyuk, a former priest of the UOC, banned from ministry for evasion into schism, tried to hold a meeting and seize the temple in the village of Zagrebelie.

“The rector of the temple Archimandrite Iriney and parishioners managed to defend their temple and the opportunity to further perform services in it”, – stated in the message.

We will remind, earlier we reported that on February 11, 2024 OCU chaplain Roman Hryshchuk organized a raid meeting of OCU supporters in the house of culture in the village of Stary Volchynets in Bukovina.
