A known opponent of the UOC was fired from the post of governor

At a session of the Ternopil regional state administration, the governor of the Ternopil region, Mykhaylo Holovka, was dismissed from his post. Fifty-one Ternopil regional councillors voted for the dismissal of the official, “suspilne.media” reported.

“Today there were 51 one deputies. We see that the regional council is capable. It will work. Deputies made a decision, fired the chairman of the regional council Mikhail Golovko, gave me the authority to perform the duties, obliged to carry out all registration actions, I am obliged to fulfill the will of deputies. 51 votes is more than half, the deputies today were unanimous, they are already tired of the uncertainty, of the corruption scandal that has been going on since June, so they came today and resolved this issue. I am not afraid to take responsibility, I want the regional Council to work, the previous session, which was held on August 22, showed that we can make decisions”, – said the chairman of the session of the Ternopil Regional State Administration Volodymyr Boleschuk.

We shall remind you that earlier we reported that the chairman of the Ternopil Regional State Administration Mykhaylo Holovka, who planned to transfer Pochayiv Lavra into the ownership of the OCU, was detained for bribery.
