The secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Oleksiy Danilov, said in an interview with Ukrainian Radio that the draft law 8371, which the Verkhovna Rada passed in the first reading, is not about the Church.

“This is not about the Church, but about an institution that directly participates in the war on the side of our enemy, that has leadership in Moscow, that calls for killing our citizens, killing our children”, – Danilov said.

According to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, this bill has nothing to do with religion.

“If you want to communicate with God, communicate as much as you like. But to spread and plant here institutions that work directly with the center in Moscow is an unacceptable thing, and this will be put to an end. But everything happens within the framework of the law”, – he said.

Danilov added that when deputies pass the law in the second reading, “then we will be able to analyze and understand how everything will happen legally and physically”.
