On August 17, 2023, the ninth anniversary of the enthronement of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Savva of Warsaw and All Poland sent a congratulatory message to His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry of Kyiv and All Ukraine. This is reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

“Your Beatitude, beloved in the Lord Metropolitan! In the spirit of brotherly love in our Lord Jesus Christ, I cordially congratulate you on the ninth anniversary of your accession to the Throne of Metropolitans of Kyiv and All Ukraine,” wrote the Primate of the Polish Orthodox Church.

As His Beatitude Metropolitan Savva noted, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry “has had many trials in preserving the Church of Ukraine entrusted to you.”

“We deeply believe that your humble and fearless archpastoral ministry, with God’s help, will overcome all the difficulties of Ukrainian Orthodoxy. God is with us! Our prayer accompanies your ministry!” – is said in the congratulatory message.

Metropolitan Savva of Warsaw and all of Poland wished the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church “strength and God’s blessing for your further Archpastoral labors for the glory of all Orthodoxy, health and all good things for every day”.
