Temple of the UOC suffered from shelling in Kherson

On August 3, as a result of the shelling of the city of Kherson, the Catherine Cathedral of the UOC was damaged. This is reported by local telegram channels. Also at this time, three passengers of a trolleybus were injured while driving past the cathedral at the time of the Russian strike. The wounded were hospitalized.

It is known that Catherine’s Cathedral (the Church of the Great Martyr Catherine, Spassky Cathedral) is one of the oldest Orthodox churches in Kherson, the tomb of Prince Grigory Potemkin. The temple is full of architectural symbols, revealing the meaning of the founding and the name of Kherson.
