The Kiev Regional Council proposes to ban the activities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on the territory of the Kyiv region. This was reported by the press service of the regional council.

It is noted that this issue, which became one of the main issues at the meeting of the permanent commission of the regional council on regulations, deputy activity, legality, law and order, interaction with law enforcement agencies and the prevention of corruption, received “unanimous parliamentary support.”

“Many people, public organizations have addressed to the Kiev Regional Council with a request to bring to the session the question of the termination of the activities of the Moscow church,” said Taras Kostin, chairman of the commission.

Based on the results of the meeting, the profile commission recommended that the issue of the UOC ban be brought to the session of the regional council.
