The Kiev City Council will move the issue of breaking the lease agreements with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church only after the adoption of the bill to ban the UOC. This is reported by Pravblog.
Secretary of the Kyiv City Council Volodymyr Bondarenko noted that after the adoption by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of a bill banning the UOC, lessors of communal property of the territorial community of Kyiv would take measures to terminate lease agreements with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
He stressed that it is the termination of the activities of religious organizations that is the basis for the termination of the right to use land.
