Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko said on the air of the telethon that his department in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra instead of the monastery plans to start “activities of folk art crafts and other things.” This was announced by Ukrinform on April 22, 2023, the Information and Education Department of the UOC reports.

“In general, we would like to have a concept of management and use on the territory of the lower Lavra. Of course, our life there should continue, but there are different questions regarding the rehabilitation center for the military, the activities of folk art crafts and other things,” the minister said.
