The vicar of the Lviv diocese commented on the capture of St. George’s Cathedral in Lviv

The vicar of the Lviv diocese of the UOC, Bishop of Drohobych Jacob, commented on the events of the capture of St. George’s Cathedral in Lviv. This is reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC with reference to the Information Center.

The hierarch of the UOC said that the Lviv diocese will challenge in court everything that happened around the St. George’s Cathedral on April 5, 2023.

The bishop noted that “we are going to Europe, where human rights are valued, where every person has the right to pray wherever he wants, as much as he wants and with whom he wants.”

“We are for the solution of any issue only in the legal field. We are against raiding and any forceful seizure and against any solution of issues by force,” he stressed.
