The legal department of the UOC explained the course of the trial on the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra

On March 23, 2023, the monastery of the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra applied to the court with a lawsuit to protect its rights. As part of this lawsuit, an application was filed to secure the lawsuit with a request that no illegal actions be committed against the monastery during the consideration of the case on the merits. This is reported by the Legal Department, reports the Information and Educational Department of the UOC.

The court groundlessly refused to satisfy the application for securing the claim, but this in no way indicates that the court refused to satisfy the claim, the consideration of which is scheduled for April 26, 2023. The refusal of the court to secure the claim has not entered into force, it will be appealed on appeal.

It is noted that any other extrajudicial actions against the monastery of the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra are illegal and provide for liability.
