The Kyiv Economic Court dismissed the UOC’s claim against the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra nature reserve against unilateral termination of the lease agreement, writes Politics of the country.

The decision was announced by the Minister of Culture Tkachenko. The text of the decision itself also appeared.

“The court refused to secure the claim in case No. 910/4552/23 from the UOC to the National Reserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra” on the invalidation of the transaction on the unilateral refusal of the contract, the application of the consequences of the invalidity of the termination of the Contract No. 2 of July 19, 2013 by the organization of religious buildings and other property that is state property,” the minister said.

The lawyer of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, Archpriest Nikita Chekman, said that the decision of the court in the UOC will be appealed.
