The court in Ivano-Frankivsk, on the complaint of the OCU, opened a criminal case on the ownership of the temple of the UOC

On March 8, the mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ruslan Martsinkiv, announced on his Facebook page that the court had satisfied the complaint of the “community” of the OCU to open a criminal case “for misappropriation of other people’s property.” We are talking about the Church of the Nativity of Christ of the UOC, which allegedly “legally” was re-registered as the property of the OCU.

“The community once decided to completely move from the Moscow Patriarchate to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. We legally registered the ownership of the entire building and land on Dovzhenko Street. Now there is a legal dispute so that the OCU community can fully exercise its right to serve on Dovzhenko Street,” Martsinkiv said.

He added that if there was “state assistance, then this could be done much faster. Unfortunately, today the legislator has not provided for any other way than to defend interests in court.”

“I am sure that the case will be completed positively for the Franks,” the mayor assured.
