Five Lithuanian Orthodox priests have received official documents from the Patriarchate of Constantinople that allow them to resume their ministry. This is reported by the publication LRT.
“From now on, Lithuanian Orthodox can receive the sacraments of Baptism and Weddings outside the Moscow Patriarchate,” said priest Gintaras Sungaila.
He also hopes that the Patriarchate of Constantinople will soon form a “permanent church structure under its rule in Lithuania.”
