The Primate of the Polish Church lifted up prayers for peace in Ukraine

His Beatitude Metropolitan Savva of Warsaw and All Poland offered up prayers for peace in Ukraine at the Divine Liturgy at the Wroclaw Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin on January 22, 2023. The service took place as part of the primatial visit of the Primate to the city of Wroclaw, Pravlife writes.

After the Liturgy, His Beatitude addressed numerous believers from Ukraine in the Ukrainian language, urging them not to stop praying and repenting, “after all, only such a prayer God hears.”

In his sermon, Metropolitan Savva also noted the need for efforts and struggle to preserve true Christianity in all its areas, from individual spiritual life through families, marriages, raising children, and ending with the morality of societies and peoples.

As His Beatitude emphasized, the decline of morality “pushes people and nations into the arms of sin and lawlessness,” and if we want to see positive changes in the world, we must start with ourselves.
