The National Security and Defense Council imposed sanctions against the nephew of Patriarch Kirill and 21 other representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church. This is stated in the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, writes Politics of the country.

- Gundyaev Mikhail Nikolaevich – representative of the Russian Orthodox Church at the World Council of Churches and other international organizations in Geneva, archpriest;
- Bogdasarov Roman Sergeevich – Viceroy of the Church of Zosima and Savvaty of Solovetsky in Golyanovo (Moscow), Head of the Department for Cooperation with the Russian Guard of the Synodal Department for Cooperation with the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies;
- Bulekov Alexander Vladimirovich – Rector of the Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God (Moscow), Archimandrite Filaret, Deputy Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations;
- Ganzhin Alexander Ivanovich – Deputy Chairman of the Synodal Department for Cooperation with the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies, Archimandrite Alexy;
- Gorbachev Leonid Eduardovich – Metropolitan Leonid of Klin, Chairman of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa;
- Emelyanov Leonid Grigoryevich – Metropolitan of Vladimir and Suzdal Tikhon;
- Kipshidze Vakhtang Vladimirovich – Deputy Chairman of the Synodal Department for the interaction of the Church with society and the media;
- Aleksey Sergeevich Kulberg – Metropolitan of Yekaterinburg and Verkhoturye Eugene, Chairman of the Synodal Department of Religious Education and Catechism;
- Legoyda Vladimir Romanovich – Acting Head of the Press Service of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’;
- Nemtsov Nikolai Fedorovich – Metropolitan Methodius of Perm and Kungur;
- Ovcharov Oleg Andreevich – Chairman of the Synodal Department for Cooperation with the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies, Priest, Archpriest of the Military and Naval Clergy;
- Sevryuk Anton Yuryevich – Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations;
- Tatarintsev Konstantin Yulievich – Head of the Sector for Interaction with the Aerospace Forces of the Synodal Department for Interaction with the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies, Archpriest.
- Chashin Nikolai Nikolaevich – Metropolitan Sergius of Singapore and Southeast Asia.
- Shchipkov Alexander Vladimirovich – Deputy Chairman of the World Russian People’s Council, First Deputy Chairman of the Synodal Department for the interaction of the Church with society and the media of the Russian Orthodox Church.
- Ryakhovsky Sergey Vasilyevich – Chairman of the Spiritual Council of the Russian United Union of Evangelical Christians (Pentecostals).
