Mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk Ruslan Martsinkiv recorded a video message in which he stated that the authorities intend to “evict” representatives of the UOC from their Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ. The official posted a video message on his Facebook page.

Martsinkiv assures that the city’s cathedral “belongs to the OCU.”

“There are still people there, and today the administration that registered the OCU community will legally evict people who are there from there,” the mayor said.

“Finally, our deputies of the Verkhovna Rada must, together with the leadership of the state, decide to ban the Moscow Patriarchate as an enemy church of the occupier. This will be a decisive step. I think that society will support this,” Martsinkiv added.
