The head of the Department of Religious Studies at the Institute of Philosophy, Alexander Sagan, approves of the decision of the National Security and Defense Council to ban religious organizations associated with Russia, but believes that there is a lack of a “power block” in the GESS. “What does “strengthening the state body” solve? Will they make a ministry out of the service, and what will change, except for raising salaries? Will there be an investigative department or a power unit? What is the concept behind this amplification?” he wrote.
