Worker killed in UOC monastery near Volnovakha due to shelling

On December 1, 2022, in the Dormition Nikolo-Vasilyevsky Monastery, founded by the elder Zosima (Sokur) in the Donetsk diocese, worker Mikhail Sapyany died from shelling, the monastery’s Telegram channel reported.

“Today, December 1, Mikhail Sapyany died. Presumably from the arrival of mines. He lived next to the monastery barn in the village, worked in the monastery. Recently, he helped the monastery a lot, put out fires, repaired destruction. I left the monastery for tools. Rest, O Lord, the soul of the murdered Mikhail,” wrote the inhabitants of the monastery.
