A parishioner of the UOC was set on fire in the Rivne region

On November 12, 2022, at about 6 a.m., a house caught fire in the village of Povcha, Dubno district.  This was reported by the press service of the Rivne diocese.

The house, in which no one currently lives, belongs to a parishioner of the Trinity Church of the UOC.

Luckily, a neighbor noticed the fire and immediately called firefighters, who quickly extinguished the fire.  The district police and the investigative team arrived at the scene of the fire.  They found traces of deliberate arson.

Believers of the UOC said that the day before they had heard threats against them from a tipsy local resident.  He stated that if they continue to go to services in the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, “we will burn down the house.”
