On October 25, 2022, representatives of the Romanian Orthodox Church handed over humanitarian aid to the Rivne diocese of the UOC. This is reported by the diocesan press service.
Orthodox volunteers brought food – cereals, pasta, cookies, as well as hygiene products. The social department at the Rivne diocese plans to distribute the assistance received to the families of the fallen soldiers.
“Packages will be formed, the deans of the eparchy will deliver them to parishes where the priests know who needs such help,” said the head of the social department, Archpriest Peter Peretyatko.
Since the beginning of the war, this is already the fifth tranche of humanitarian aid from the Orthodox of Romania to the Orthodox Rivne diocese.
