The rector of the UOC community in Berlin told about the life of Ukrainian refugees

Archpriest of the UOC Dimitry Dzyadevich, rector of the parish in honor of All Saints in Berlin, told about the life of Orthodox Ukrainians who were forced to leave the country and now live in Germany. The interview with the priest was published by the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

According to the rector of the community, the geography of the parish is very wide – among the parishioners there are refugees from virtually all Ukraine – Kyiv, Luhansk, Kherson, Nikolaev, Odessa regions.

«Many people told how they were already saying goodbye to their lives under shelling, but everything was the will of God, and they were able to leave – both from Bucha, and from the Kherson and Lugansk regions. Some refugees from Donbass left their parents’ homes back in 2014. They call themselves «refugees 2.0″, that is, double. There are many such stories, they are somewhat similar to each other, but all are filled with pain, crying and sadness», – Father Dimitry notes.

Archpriest Dimitry notes that other Local Churches also supported the creation of the UOC community.
