The Zdolbunovsky District Court considered the criminal proceedings initiated by law enforcement agencies due to the protracted inter-confessional conflict provoked by supporters of the OCU around the Nativity of the Mother of God Church in the village of Ivachkov, Zdolbunovsky deanery. Justice recognized the religious community of the UOC as a victim. This was reported by the press service of the Rivne diocese of the UOC.
The human rights activist of the Rivne diocese of the UOC noted that the court drew attention to the constant slander, humiliation, insults that are heard towards the priest and believers of the UOC from representatives of the OCU.
Criminal proceedings were initiated on the facts: incitement of inter-religious hatred, forgery of documents on behalf of an existing religious community in order to change confessional affiliation from the UOC to the OCU.
