Pope Francis will depart on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from Rome’s Fiumicino International Airport and arrive at Nur-Sultan International Airport, the capital of Kazakhstan, where an official meeting will take place. Vatican News writes about it.

From the airfield, the pontiff will depart for the presidential palace, where there will be an official welcoming ceremony and a courtesy visit to the president, after which there will be a meeting with representatives of the authorities, civil society and the diplomatic corps, during which the Pope will deliver his first speech.

The next morning, September 14, will be held at the “Palace of Peace and Reconciliation” in Nur-Sultan, where first a silent prayer of religious leaders will take place, and then the opening and plenary session of the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, during which one more speech is scheduled Pope Francis. At noon, time is set aside for private meetings with some religious leaders.

On Thursday, September 15, he will meet at the Apostolic Nunciature with the Jesuits who serve in Kazakhstan and will leave for the Cathedral of the Mother of God of Perpetual Help, where he will meet with the episcopate, clergy, monastics, seminarians and pastoral staff.
