The leader of the liquidated UOC KP “patriarch” Filaret Denysenko stated that he has plans for unification and offered “Metropolitan” Epiphany a meeting, but the proposal has not yet received a response.
Also, according to the words of the “patriarch”, the state, by deregistering the UOC-KP, is harming itself.
Filaret’s comment was published on Facebook.
“If I told him, I would tell him that in order to preserve our state, Ukrainians must unite and form a single Church in Ukraine, but not in the status of a metropolis, but in the status of a patriarchate.
I made an offer to meet. I have plans on how to make this unification so as not to harm either the interests of Metropolitan Epiphany or the interests of Metropolitan Onuphry. I have plans,” says Filaret.
It was previously reported that since the beginning of the war, Filaret sent proposals for negotiations to Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and the head of the OCU.
