On July 31, in the St. Nicholas Church in the village of Gilcha, Rivne diocese, supporters of the OCU staged a conflict with the religious community of the UOC. This is reported by the diocesan press service.

According to eyewitnesses, members of the newly created community of the OCU came to the temple with an extract from the USR on their registration and demanded that the temple be handed over to them, in which believers of the UOC worship. The parishioners met the schismatics after the Sunday service on the street, at the door of the temple.

The initiator of the religious conflict in Gilcha is Ekaterina Tishkovets, a deputy of the Zdolbytskaya UTC from the European Solidarity party.

The press secretary of the Rivne diocese of the UOC, Archpriest Vasily Nachev, said that after the speech of the official, he asked the police representatives who were on the territory of the temple to record the fact of inciting interfaith hatred.

The believers of the UOC, in order to end the dispute, began to serve a thanksgiving service, and the schismatics retreated.
