A pre-trial investigation has been opened against the official who disrupted the consecration of the church in Cherkasy Diocese

In relation to the head of the Shramkovskaya UTO, Anatoly Kuli, a pre-trial investigation was opened under Part 2. Art. 161, part 1. Art. 180, part 1. Art. 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, after an official with a support group disrupted the consecration of the Nikolaev Church of the UOC in the village of Kononovka, Cherkasy diocese. This was reported by the press service of the Cherkasy diocese of the UOC on July 11, 2022.

Some of the above-mentioned articles provide for a penalty of imprisonment for a term of two to five years, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.

An internal investigation has also been launched into the actions of Major Drabovsky District Police Department Koshevoy under Art. 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Official negligence”, because at the time of the offense he decided not to prevent the crime and not to protect the rights and freedoms of citizens during the incident.

On July 2, these officials rudely disrupted a service in the village of. Kononovka, Zolotonoshsky district, Cherkasy region, violating the rights of parishioners of the temple – citizens of Ukraine.

The press service of the Cherkasy diocese noted that they would inform about the further fate of these violators of the law.
