Vatican denies Ukrainian diaspora access to its churches – media

The Telegram channel Churcher reports on the facts of the refusal of representatives of the RCC to allow representatives of the Ukrainian church diaspora in Europe to use their churches. At the same time, as you can understand, we are talking about representatives of the OCU or other groups associated with the Phanar.

“Not very good news is coming to us. The fact is that Orthodox Ukrainians are denied the allocation of temple houses in Rome. The argumentation is simple – they say you, dear Ukrainians, already have many Ukrainian churches (really?), while the Orthodox, in principle, can generally pray in Ukrainian Greek Catholic temple houses.

… The Ukrainian priest, activist and participant in the events on the Maidan, Archpriest Volodymyr Porvatkin, who has been serving in Italy for many years, is engaged in Ukrainians, and also deals with various humanitarian issues, asked Monsignor Marco Nyavi not Cathedralis Sancti Petri, but the old church of San Basilico Magno, which has been closed for many years. Unfortunately, even such a request remained without a proper response – the maximum that the Ukrainian side received was promises to “do something.” Then these promises generally turned into hints that Father Vladimir could even leave the church where he now serves at any moment. And all this, dear panship, happens when the Ukrainians, who are forced to leave their country, now need help and spiritual care more than ever. It is a pity that the Vatican does not understand this (do I need to say that this is not the first time?).

According to our information, Ambassador Plenipotentiary Andrei Yurash is also involved in the case, but, no matter how dreary it may sound, there is no need to count on something extraordinary. And the question here is not even in the capabilities of Mr. Ambassador, but rather in the position taken by the Vatican as a whole. Plus, and this is not such a secret, there are certain nuances regarding the jurisdiction of Father Vladimir, who, although he considers himself a priest of the Ecumenical Patriarchate for quite a long time, cannot act on behalf of this Patriarchate. This, in turn, imposes certain restrictions on both Andrey Yurash and, in general, violation of this issue at any level,” the message says.
