Metropolitan Hilarion has been relieved of his post as head of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate and appointed administrator of the Budapest-Hungarian Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Metropolitan Anthony (Sevryuk) of Korsun and Western Europe, head of the Office of the Moscow Patriarchate for Institutions Abroad, has been appointed as the new head of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate.
